Cancellation Policy

Most families in need of lactation care require an appointment within a few days of seeking out a Lactation Consultant.  With this in mind, Beyond the Latch requires a minimum of 24 hours notice for the cancellation of an appointment so that the appointment slot may be made available to another family.  A request to cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice will result in a fee being charged to the credit card on file for 50% of the visit cost. Appointments cancelled with less than 4 hours notice will result in a fee equal to the full self pay cost of the visit being charged to the credit card on file.  This policy also applies to office visits and telehealth visits, where “No-Shows”  will be charged a fee equal to the self pay visit cost.

If there are extenuating circumstances that do not allow for 24 hours notice, the fee will be waived if the visit is rebooked and completed within the next 5 business days. 

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can do so via secure message in your online portal account or by phone.

Cancellation fees are not billable to your insurance and a superbill will not be provided for them.

Repeated missed appointments and late cancellations may result in termination of the consultant/client relationship.
